Between 1943 and 1945, a group of Jewish volunteers from Mandate Palestine were trained and deployed by the British Army, MI9, and the Special Operations Executive (SOE) to organize resistance and rescue operations in German-occupied Europe.
The Special Operations Executive (SOE) maintained detailed personnel files (PF Series) for its agents and staff, containing critical records of medical fitness, training performance, and suitability appraisals used to determine operational deployment during the Second World War.

This training combined psychological assessment, paramilitary drills, and specialist instruction in explosives and tradecraft to enable agents to disrupt Axis infrastructure in Occupied Europe and the Far East.
The Special Operations Executive (SOE) trained agents in the art of ‘tradecraft,’ specifically the creation and maintenance of cover stories, to allow them to pass as civilians while operating behind enemy lines in occupied Europe.
